HP wireless printers have changed the way of printing completely as you just need a wireless network; connect your device to it and you are good to go. But if you don’t know how to connect your wireless HP printer to the Wi-Fi network, you won’t be able to print anything.

It requires you to connect your device to your HP printer’s Wi-Fi as you normally do with any other wireless network.

Both HP Wireless Direct and Wi-Fi Direct let you connect your device to your printer in the same way except for some differences. With Wi-Fi Direct, your device can maintain an internet connection while with HP Wireless Direct, you don’t get access to the network.

Let’s begin with the steps to connect your HP printer through Wi-Fi Direct or Wireless Direct:

  1. From the printer’s control panel, turn on HP Wireless Direct or Wi-Fi Direct. To turn them on, touch the HP Wireless Direct icon on the printer’s control panel or go to the Network Setup or Wireless settings menu and from there select Wireless Direct; finally turn on the connection.
  2. Connect to HP Wireless Direct or Wi-Fi Direct on your mobile or computer.
